What has improved since the last inspection?

Care plans have been improved and streamlined to make them more user
friendly.

People are better protected through improved risk management systems
including maintaining hot water at a safe temperature and safe handling of
medication in line with current good practice guidelines. High risk areas, such
as sluices are being kept in good repair to maintain infection control standards.

People are benefiting from improvements in the environment such as new
carpets, curtains and the installation of a new shower room. All staff including
agency staff now complete an induction programme.

The manager has improved quality assurance systems in the home to ensure
sustainable improvement.
