Although not an easy two years and although mother was not very communicative I am sure the individual attention and cheerfulness of all those who helped her maintained the best possible quality of life.

Easter comes early to Barty House
Easter came early with the arrival of our beautiful spring chicks.
Hatching at Barty House in an incubator these cheeky chaps and chapesses have proved a real chirping delight in the conservatory.
Residents have been eager to hold and help care for our little visitors, including Ron Stuart.
.

Resident Helen Tarran gave us a wry smile when a litle chick made friends, and she was soon beaming.

Next stop for the chicks is a short stay with one of the team from Barty House.
Donna Williams, who already keeps chickens of her own will be homing them.
Once they are more mature, Barty House will welcome them back to a new chicken area about to be developed in the grounds.
Residents at Barty House will then be able to visit the chickens, and collect fresh eggs!
