Funding Your Care
Canford Healthcare and our nursing homes are not affiliated with any financial product, nor are we qualified to offer financial advice.
However, we often find we are asked how to plan for future care needs. If you have concerns, our home managers are happy to talk them over with you. Whether you are currently residing in your own home considering your future, or already in a nursing home, you will have options open to you.
We recommend all persons discuss their financial situation with their family. For some people, talking with an independent financial adviser may help.
There are also organisations and advisers specialising in planning for future care needs. One of these is ‘Partnership’. You can talk with them direct, or pick up a leaflet in the home at reception.

One of the key concerns for residents and their families can be how quickly the cost of care can mount up and the desire to ensure that the level of care you want can be afforded for as long as it is needed.
Partnership’s Care Funding Plan can provide you with guaranteed income to help meet the cost of your care, for as long as it is needed. In return for a one-off payment the income is paid directly to your registered care home tax-free* for as long as it is required.
By knowing that this monthly income can be used to pay for care fees, it allows the rest of the estate to be invested as desired and provides the peace of mind that you will not run out of money and have to rely on local authority funding.

On behalf of my dad and my husband, I would like to express our thanks for the care shown to mum and us during her two and a half years in the home.
